Flame was loosed to your ink and page
vacuum gap from history carved
etching fingers pressed hard to stone.
These are words tattered and curled
once adorned to naked skin, now
toppled piles turned ash as survivors
scramble to love and loss and dust become -

Future’s feet shall dance unknowing
upon backs as pillars, their songs
a fleeting chorus of winded tales.
Your ink and page, passion burned
founded dreams, and stepping stones.
